As in-person events are canceled, the need to keep the dispute financing industry up-to-date on developments has not disappeared. The Center on Civil Justice, creators of the Dispute Financing Library, will host an online, virtual conference discussing how the industry is shifting, both in the lead-up to the spread of COVID-19 and during the era of shelter-in-place.
Panel One: How COVID-19 is Impacting the Industry, and How Can the Industry Move Forward Remotely?
This panel will discuss the on-the-ground realities of the industry as the crisis unfolds. Panelists will discuss how digital tools and remote access are changing the industry, and how access to the courts are changing, as well as changes in demand for funding.

Panel Two: Legislative and Regulatory Developments Found in the Dispute Financing Library
Panel two will give attendees an update on recent changes in laws and regulations surrounding the industry. It will be a primer to make sure attendees are up-to-date with the status quo before the current crisis, as well as give attendees an idea of what to expect after the crisis. The panel will include a demonstration of the Dispute Financing Library and its ability to allow users to find recent statutes and regulatory updates quickly and easily.
