NBIM – the world’s lagest SWF (sovereign wealth fund) with nearly $2.0 trillion assets – is an active investor in the Aritificial Intelligence (AI) revolution. Meanwhile, AI is an important part of NBIM’s engagement with companies. NBIM endavours to further best practices in responsible AI such that this technology creates maximum value for stakeholders.
In February 2025 President Trump issued an executive order to establish a US sovereign wealth fund. As illustrated by the $8.9 billion US investment into Intel Corporation just days ago, Trump’s US SWF is also focused on the AI-related tech investing. How is the US SWF different from the traditional SWF model, represented by NBIM?
