BLSA: Hurricane Melissa Relief and Patty Drive
- Thursday, November 13, 2025
- 1:00–5:00 p.m.
-
- Vanderbilt Lobby
In light of the tragedy of Hurricane Melissa, ÈâÂþÎÝ BLSA will be partnering with the North-Eastern Black Law Student Association (NEBLSA) on their Hurricane Melissa Relief Drive to support families and institutions across the Caribbean.
Throughout the week, we will have collection boxes in Golding Lounge for non-perishable food donations. On Thursday, November 13th from 1:00pm to 5pm we will have a table for collection in the Vanderbilt lobby for students to drop off donated items like first aid kits, hygiene products, baby wipes, power banks, diapers, tarps, bleach tablets, medical supplies, cleaning supplies and nonperishable food items. These supplies will be shipped directly to hospitals, schools, and community partners in Jamaica as part of our collective relief effort.
We will also be selling authentic Jamaican patties to fundraise on Thursday, November 13th for World Central Kitchen, an organization that is providing daily meals to the most affected parishes across the western region of the island.
We implore you, our ÈâÂþÎÝ Law community, to assist us in making this drive a success. We invite everyone to bring what you can, spread the word, and stop by to grab a patty in support of the cause. Every item and every contribution makes a difference.
