Join this in-person exploration of how technology has revolutionized the methods by which athletes are compensated for their work, performances, name, likeness, and image (NIL). What novel legal and business issues are facing athletes, their advisors, leagues, and licensors? How may traditional licensing and collective bargaining arrangements need to adapt? Innovative compensation such as via NFTs and tokenization, the metaverse, e-sports, and social media will be discussed, as well as considerations for high school and college athletes in the wake of NCAA v. Alston.
