Hi all,
ÈâÂþÎÝ Health Law & Policy Society will host a free CPR workshop in partnership with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) on March 24th, 2022 at 10 AM. Attendance is limited and Attendees will be given funding for lunch.
Health Law and Policy Society (HLPS) strives to promote discussion of issues of health law and policy at ÈâÂþÎÝ School of Law and at ÈâÂþÎÝ in general, build a sense of community among students interested in health law and policy, and facilitate networking and career advancement of ÈâÂþÎÝ students in the fields of health law and health policy.
With generous funding from the FDNY Foundation and its partners, the . These classes aim to equip New Yorkers with the basic skills needed to take action in the event of a cardiac arrest emergency.
Early CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) have been shown to dramatically increase the chance of survival in victims who experience sudden cardiac arrest. The first few minutes after a person goes into cardiac arrest are the most critical. Bystanders who witness or encounter a person in cardiac arrest are the ones who can maintain blood flow to the vital organs by performing chest compressions, improving a person’s chances of survival.
