The Law School’s held its inaugural national symposium on November 10. Legal scholars, practitioners, government officials, human rights leaders, and members of the national news media gathered in Lipton Hall to discuss how federal, state, and local immigration policies impact the country in the areas of labor, housing, law enforcement, and education. The daylong event featured a series of panel discussions. partner James S. Renard served as a panelist for a discussion titled “How Local Battle Lines Are Being Drawn in the Immigration Debate Over Labor and Housing – And What This Means for the Country.” A video of that panel, moderated by New York Times national immigration correspondent Julia Preston, is below.
