Chief Judge Harry T. Edwards honored with A. Leon Higginbotham award at NBLSA convention
At the of the (NBLSA), Chief Judge Harry T. Edwards of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, was honored with the .
Appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1980, Edwards served as chief judge from 1994-2001, and took on senior status in 2005. A longtime member of the ÈâÂþÎÝ Law community, Edwards has been a visiting professor since 1990. In recent years, he has co-taught courses such as "Federal Courts and the Appellate Process" and "The Art of Appellate Decision Making."
The award, which is named after federal appeals court judge and rights activist A. Leon Higginbotham, is annually given to members of the judiciary, and the award luncheon is attended by judges from around the country.
