An analysis by ÈâÂþÎÝ's Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy of New York City foreclosure filings in 2007 reveals that 15,000 households containing as many as 38,000 renters may face eviction due to foreclosure on the building in which they live, while another 15,000 households that are owned rather than rented also filed for foreclosure.
