Monday marked the debut of the Intercept, the online magazine edited by alongside journalists Laura Poitras and Jeremy Scahill. Also listed among the 12 journalists writing for the Intercept is . While he was a student ������ Law, Novack also did research for Greenwald's column and book, With Liberty and Justice for Some. The Intercept is part of First Look Media, the new venture backed by Pierre Omidyar, the founder and chairman of eBay. 

"Our central mission is to hold the most powerful governmental and corporate factions accountable, and to do so, we will report on a wide and varied range of issues," wrote Greenwald, Poitras, and Scahill in their opening  for the magazine. “We believe the prime value of journalism is that it imposes transparency, and thus accountability, on those who wield the greatest governmental and corporate power. Our journalists will be not only permitted, but encouraged, to pursue stories without regard to whom they might alienate.”&�Բ�����;

The first story on the site, “,” was co-authored by Scahill and Greenwald. Ryan Goodman, Anne and Joel Ehrenkranz Professor of Law, has already responded on Just Security with an article entitled, “.”&�Բ�����;
