On January 15, at an ÈâÂþÎÝ Law Forum sponsored by Latham & Watkins, Dean moderated a panel discussion among faculty experts that examined the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. Among the subjects considered were the potential criminal charges against those involved in the insurrection, the impeachment of President Donald Trump, the president’s pardon power, the recent statement by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and racial disparities in law enforcement response to protests. The virtual event was also co-sponsored by the Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Network (BWLN) and the (RCLS).
The panel featured Vice Dean , Charles Seligson Professor of Law and faculty director of the Center on the Administration of Criminal Law; , distinguished scholar in residence and adjunct professor of law; , Anne and Joel Ehrenkranz Professor of Law and RCLS faculty co-director; , Frederick I. and Grace Stokes Professor of Law and BWLN faculty director; and , distinguished senior fellow and adjunct professor of law.
