Franco Ferrari appointed to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators by the Federal Republic of Germany
On September 9th, the Federal Republic of Germany appointed Professor to the panel of arbitrators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Ferrari is director of Law's Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration and Commercial Law (CTLACL).
This is Ferrari’s second appointment by a government to ICSID panels of arbitrators and conciliators—he was appointed by Saint Lucia in 2015—and his is extensive. Ferrari stated that he was “obviously very honored to be appointed by the Federal Republic of Germany.” Although an Italian national, Ferrari was born and raised in Germany and holds a post-graduate degree from Augsburg University School of Law.
