A list of “best papers” compiled by American Law and Economics Association (ALEA) for its annual meeting this month included the scholarship of two ������ Law faculty members. On the list in the area of corporate law and governance was “Individual Investor Ideology,” by Pierrepont Family Professor of Law and Jonathan Zytnick of Georgetown University Law Center. In April, the coauthors presented the paper at the spring corporate roundtable of ������ Law’s Institute for Corporate Governance and Finance (ICGF).

“,” by Associate Professor of Law , was named a best paper in the area of creditors, borrowers, and bankruptcy. Ohlrogge presented the paper at ALEA’s annual meeting, and is scheduled to present it at the National Bureau of Economic Research summer institute in July.

Jackson served as a commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission from 2017 to 2020. At the Law School, he is director of both the Jacobson Leadership Program in Law and Business and the Program on Corporate Law and Policy, and a co-director of ICGF. Ohlrogge joined the Law School faculty in 2019. His research focuses on how legal structures impact risks that corporations take and the positive or negative consequences these risks have on the public good.
