Summer is a time when many ÈâÂþÎÝ Law professors fan out from Washington Square to engage with the global academic community. During the summer of 2017, faculty members participated in lectures and conferences, conducted research, and shared their expertise on six continents. Their appearances are plotted on an interactive map, which you can find embedded below or in a full-screen version .
A scan of the map gives a sense of the breadth of locations visited. And by clicking on the purple map pins, you can read details about individual appearances. The left-hand panel allows navigation by faculty name.
A few examples from the 110 pins you’ll find on this year’s map: Assistant Professor of Law and Charles L. Denison Professor of Law made separate visits to the University of Tokyo, where First taught a course on competition law and Catan was a discussant at the Global Corporate Governance Colloquia Conference. Norma Z. Paige Professor of Law and Beller Family Professor of Business Law jointly participated in the Corporate Liability for Corruption Conference at the Universidad de Buenos Aires Law School. And closer to home, Professor went to Big Sky, Montana, for the 2017 Conference of State Solicitors and Criminal Appellate Chiefs, and Laurence A.
