Each Tuesday, the Conflict, Security, and Development Series will examine new research, discuss creative policy approaches, and highlight recent innovations in responding to the challenges of security and development in conflict and post-conflict situations.
Tom Syring, the 2020 Visiting Lecturer in the Rule of Law and Forced Migration, Chairman of the , and a Visiting Scholar at the . He has particularly published and lectured on issues at the intersection of international humanitarian law, international criminal law, refugee law and human rights.
This talk aims to provide a legal backdrop to the convoluted challenges of forced migration and discuss some of the root causes of conflict and inherent drivers of migration and refugee
flows underlying current global crises.
