Postgraduate Fellowships Handbook

Over 40% of ÈâÂþÎÝ JD graduates find their first public interest job through a postgraduate fellowship.

Postgraduate fellowships are time-limited, full-time positions that are generally awarded at or near the beginning of your legal career. They provide unique opportunities for new lawyers to start and expand their legal careers.

At PILC, we work closely with ÈâÂþÎÝ Law students and alumni to identify and apply to a wide variety of post-graduate fellowships.

Project Fellowships

Project fellowships are unique in that the applicant, in partnership with their prospective employer, or host organization, develops a proposal for a legal project to be executed over the course of one to two years.

Internally-Funded Fellowships

Internally-funded fellowships (sometimes referred to as organizational fellowships) are more akin to time-limited staff attorney positions.

ÈâÂþÎÝ-Dedicated Fellowships

ÈâÂþÎÝ Law offers a number of postgraduate fellowships exclusively for graduating students and alumni.
