Year-Long Clinics and Externships

Each of these courses is 14 credits and therefore accounts for roughly half of a student's course load for the academic year. (The exceptions are the Affordable Housing and Faith-Based Organizations Transactional Clinic, Global Justice Clinic for JDs, Legal Empowerment and Judicial Independence Clinic for JDs, and Racial Justice and Abolition Clinic, which each carry 12 credits; and the Eviction Defense and Tenant Protection Clinic, and the NYS Office of Attorney General Social Justice Externship, which each carry 10 credits.) Please select from the links below to learn more about each clinic. Beginning with the graduating class of 2027, students will only be permitted to take one year-long clinic or externship while at the law school.
