Workshop: Launching and Managing Impact Investment Funds
This workshop concentrated on teaching skills and raising awareness about the business terms, structures, documentation and legal issues that arise when aggregating capital for impact investments. This workshop made use of a series of case studies that explore the life of an impact investment fund sponsored by Habitat for Humanity International. These case studies include collateral documents such as, among other things, actual deal documentation and video interviews with representatives of the parties to these contracts.

2025 Legal Scholars & Educators Convening
This one-day convening followed the 2025 IILWG/Grunin Center Annual Conference on Legal Issues in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing – in the US and Beyond (June 3–4) and offered a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, share scholarship, and discuss pedagogical innovations with a community of legal scholars and educators.
This convening was open to faculty working in the fields of social entrepreneurship, impact investing, and sustainable development.

Deborah Burand, Professor of Law, introduced Maria Santos Valentin, the Grunin Center's new Distinguished Scholar & Senior Fellow, to the ÈâÂþÎÝ Law School Community.
